Calling all Bakers – Big Ones and Little Ones!

Do you have a famous, chocolate-chip cookie recipe? Have your kids been begging you to make their favorite apple cake? Share your cakes, pies, cookies and other homemade treats with the Cabot community at this year’s fair.  Not a baker – no problem – we are happy to accept bought goods as well (assuming they follow the guidelines listed below).

Big sellers include:  cookies, cupcakes, muffins, rice krispy treats, brownies, bars, etc…  Get Creative!  and Get Baking!  Other ideas include:  Re-package some tasty store-bought treats or even package up some treats for dogs!

BAKING GUIDELINES

  • Wrap all items individually – whether a single cupcake or a whole pie.  If cookies are small – you can group a few together.
  • Do not use any dairy-based icings or fillings (e.g. no butter cream frosting, cheese cake or quiche) as they may spoil in the heat.
  • Ensure that all baked goods are nut-free (no almond flavorings)
  • Please label the batch of items – and include a basic list of ingredients. Nothing formal, just a simple list on a piece of paper along with your baked goods will allow anyone to determine if that is the treat for them.

DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS
Bring your baked goods to the gym lobby during morning drop-off (8:00 am – 8:35 am) or afternoon pick up (3:00 pm – 5:00 pm) on Friday, May 31st. Contributions will also be accepted during the fair on Saturday.
