Parents of students at Cabot, Franklin, and Horace Mann Schools are invited to learn more about the Child Assault Prevention Program (CAP) on Thursday, November 1 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Franklin School. Each year kindergarten, grade 2, and grade 5 students, with permission from their parents or guardians, participate in CAP workshops. Students learn vital skills to help them stay SAFE, STRONG, and FREE. CAP seeks to prevent child abuse by training children to recognize and deal with potentially dangerous situations and by preparing adults in the children’s community – both teachers and parents – to help children in this endeavor.
