Valentine’s Day is a time to show our love & kindness to those around us. What better time to donate essential items to the Newton Food Pantry!! The Newton Food Pantry is a volunteer-run pantry that supports local families in need with essential food and household items. It receives most items for free or a reduced cost through the Greater Boston Food Bank. However, there are some items that need to be purchased.

•  The Social Action Committee will be collecting donations on 2/12, 2/13, & 2/14.

• Items can be dropped off outside Carr at the start of school, at a collection bin just inside Carr at another time of the school day, or placed in the bin outside 3 Briar Lane in Newtonville.

• If you’d like to help out with this  collection or any other Social Action Committee initiatives, please email Elana November (elananyc@yahoo.com) & Cynthia Sanger (dcsanger2@verizon.net).

• Necessary items include:
Shampoo and Conditioner
Toothpaste
Body Lotion
Poise pads
Feminine Hygiene Products
Dish Soap
Multi-purpose Household Cleaner
Chicken Broth
Spices
Canned Beets
Oil
Ground Coffee
Rice
(No travel size or over-sized items).

Thank you for your generosity & support of those in need.
