Friday, May 11th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm is the date and time for the Cabot community’s multicultural potluck event, Taste of the World. This is a family fun event that celebrates our diverse Cabot community.

Come eat the delicious food, come share a dish, come share about your culture, come learn about the world that exists at Cabot and beyond! You don’t need to bring a dish to come and enjoy the food and friends.

Participants are encouraged to bring a dish with a list of ingredients that represents their culture or country, or one they like to prepare and feel excited to contribute but may not represent their background. Along with your dish, you could include more details or pictures about where this dish is from and what it means to your family, or wear an example of traditional dress.

If you or your child would like to perform and share your culture through artistic expression, we will have sign ups at the event. In the past we have had students sing Bengali lullabies; perform Indian, Irish, Peruvian, and Chinese dance; do African drumming; sing Irish ballads; play a Chinese zither; and recite poetry.

There will be country flags face painting and maps of the world for students to keep track of the places they have tried food. This is a fun, relaxed event to bring the Cabot community together to celebrate.
