Oct. 1 – Oct. 4 is Cabot Walk/Bike/Bus to School
Join the Cabot community the week of October 1-4 for Newton Walk/Bike/Bus to
School Week. See how many days your child can walk, bike, scoot, or take the bus to school!
On Friday Oct. 4, have your child stop by our table in the plaza and sign their name on the Walk to School Day Poster. We will be handing out free give-aways to students walking, biking, and busing to school.
If you usually drive to school, and walking the whole distance seems to much, consider parking several blocks away and having your child enjoy walking and participating.
Cabot School is a member of Newton’s Safe Routes to School Task Force, which works with the city to promote pedestrian and bike safety surrounding our schools. If there are issues (uneven sidewalks, missing crosswalks, etc.) making it difficult for your children to walk to school, let the city and/or us know! You can submit a 311 request via Newton’s 311 app/website (http://www.newtonma.gov/gov/
311.asp), or email Cabot’s Safe Routes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
